From Homesick to Heartfelt: First Trip Abroad
Summer Pozas, a senior at LSU, took a bold step by joining Session 1 of DIRECT Cape Town. This being her first time abroad. Despite initial nerves and homesickness, she embraced the experience fully by making new friends, connecting with locals, and engaging deeply in service opportunities. Her time in Cape Town changed her perspective, taught her gratitude, and led to lifelong friendships. Summer encourages future travelers to remember their "why" and dive in wholeheartedly.

It's a Seaside Meetup! DIRECT Greece and DIRECT Florence Students Head to the Amalfi Coast
As DIRECT Greece Session 1 and DIRECT Florence Session 1 wrapped up, students weren’t ready to part ways, therefore LeadAbroad introduced the Amalfi Coast add-on. This five-day adventure brings both groups together to explore Sorrento, Positano, Capri, and Anacapri while enjoying Italian food, scenic views, and shared experiences. After service, leadership, and fun abroad, students now create new memories along Italy’s stunning coastline.

Adventure is Everywhere: Exploring Week 1 of Our 2025 Programs!
Week 1 of LeadAbroad's starting programs went off without a hitch. Between whitewater rafting in Costa Rica, skydiving in Cape Town, pasta making in Florence, and bungee jumping in Greece, our students are truly exceptional. In every program, boundaries are being pushed, friendships are blossoming, and service is being accomplished. We cannot wait to see what the rest of summer has in store.
