Frosting the Streets Around the World: Outfit Inspiration for Your Travel Abroad Experience

As a smart man once exclaimed, "Ladies, frost yourselves". This exclamation holds true as much today as it did 21 years ago when Matthew McConaughey stated it in the movie "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days". Our students have been frosting the streets of Greece, Florence, Cape Town, and Costa Rica through fashionable, tasteful outfit options.

Our students work hard to excel in their service opportunities, soak in the knowledge provided to them by their teachers, and break out of their comfort zone through exciting adventures; but, who said that you can't accomplish all that and do it with style?

Through the streets of Greece, our students are sporting bright colors of blue, yellow, and more. This choice of color allows for them to pop against the beautiful white buildings lacing the streets. They tour the cities with confidence in their long sundresses and flowy skirts. This style choice allows for comfort in a long day yet definitely picture-worthy. They are ready to go from exploring to dining. For their excursions, many students opt for a more casual option: athleisure. Without forsaking their bright colors, students wear cute workout sets to hike along the beautiful sites.

Similar to Greece, our Florence students opt for flowy sundresses and sets of tops and skirts. There are still many pops of color but plenty of accessories as well such as scarfs and cardigans that add some dimension to the look. For their excursions, Florence students opt for more casual versions of their skirt and top duos; they do this by either shortening the length of the skirt or changing the material. Some excursions call for entirely different wear: something water-resitant. While lounging on the beaches of the coast, students wear flowery, bright bathing suits and cute knit or matching cover-ups.

Through the streets of Cape Town, students are definitely falling into the earth-tone trend which looks absolutely fabulous against the gorgeous landscape of South Africa. Students have been flaunting stunning sets of skirts and tops as well as linen pants. These options are paired with belts and hats to make a fun-filled outfit. For their excursions students need something that allows movement, therefore, they have opted for matching workout sets. These bright and funs sets pop along the beige atmosphere of sand dunes. While touring the towns, students can wear something more casual such as jeans with a cute sweater.

When they're not in their scrubs, the Costa Rica crew struts through the streets with purpose in stunning dresses. The dresses worn in Costa Rica are not always full-length as they are in Greece and Florence, probably due to the heat of a Costa Rica summer. The adventures in Costa Rica call for a variety of items: comfy workout sets that are still fit for picture-taking as well as bathing suits for the stunning, coastal waters.

Men, you were not forgotten! In all of our programs so far the men have been exploring the cities in shorts and polos, some of them mixing in linen pants for the days they are feeling a change of pace. For the excursions, the men generally wear athletic shorts and crewneck t-shirts, giving them the comfort to truly explore and partake in their adventures.

Our students are making a statement in each country they land in. I don't know if Rome, Barcelona, Lisbon, and Madrid are ready for the fashion show that will take place along their towns...
