- Please note: If you have specific questions about your program, please send them to LeadAbroad staff directly at info@LeadAbroad.com. Program questions posted in GroupMe may get missed by staff members.

Preparing to Travel
Important dates for DIRECT Florence:
- Thursday, May 16: Students depart the U.S. for Florence
- Friday May 17: Students arrive into Florence, first day of program
- Tuesday, May 28: DIRECT Florence ends, students depart for U.S. or begin (optional) Amalfi Coast Add-On
- Saturday, June 1: (Optional) Amalfi Coast Add-On ends, students depart for U.S.
➡️ Important Note: For students planning to attend the (optional) Amalfi Coast Add-On, please wait to book your flight until your spot is confirmed.
➡️ Arrival Window: May 17 from 9:30-11:30am
Group shuttle to the hotel after arrival:
- All students arriving on flights arriving before 11:30am will be on the group shuttle.
- If you are scheduled to arrive on May 17th before the group lands, you can wait at the airport for the group shuttle or pay for your own transfer to the hotel. LeadAbroad will assist you in arranging this transportation.
Group shuttle to the airport for departure back to U.S.:
- If you are not staying for the (optional) Amalfi Coast Add-on and depart Florence on May 28th, LeadAbroad will provide a shuttle arriving at the airport around 4:00am to correspond with our recommended flight which departs at 6:30am.
- (Optional) Amalfi Coast Add-on participants will be transported to the Naples airport and arrive by 3:00am on June 1. Your flight should depart Naples at 6:00am or later. If you book an earlier or (significantly) later flight, you will need to arrange your own transfer. Sorrento, where we are staying, is about one hour from the airport.

Steps to book your flight:
- Go to Delta.com, choose “multi-city route”
- For the first route: enter your hometown as the origin city and Florence (FLR) as your destination for the departing flight
- For the second route: enter Naples (NAP) as starting point, then hometown as return destination.
- Search for available itineraries within our dates (listed below).
- Review the options and search for an itinerary with a layover in Atlanta that matches one of the recommended flights below.
- Purchase a ticket! This way, all of your flights are booked together, and you’ll be on one of our recommended itineraries.
Need more information about the (optional) Amalfi Add-on trip? This 5-day add on will give students the opportunity to experience Sorrento, Positano and Capri. **This add on trip is currently sold out.**

In-Country Details
Plus Florence is a boutique hostel with triple and quad rooms. You will reach the famous Florence Cathedral (Duomo) in just 15 minutes walking distance. Most study abroad programs live 15 minute train rides outside of the city, so this location is amazing. After a long day of exploring, you can come back to your accommodation and hop in their pool. Plus Florence also has a restaurant, gym and other hangout spaces.

To request a roommate, please submit the Housing Form (available in January) in your online portal by the posted due date. Forms submitted after the due date may not be reviewed. Once roommates are posted, we cannot make any changes. You may submit a Housing Change form by March 15th to request a roommate change.
