Academic Courses
GO Barcelona courses are developed in the context of Spain’s rich cultural history. Classes are available in business, culture, communications and art history. Students with Spanish majors or minors can even opt-in to Spanish-language instruction and receive Spanish credit for select culture classes.
Our distinguished professors are experienced in leading students in international settings and incorporate local culture into the classroom whether it is through cultural site and museum visits, readings by Spanish authors or by providing local context to the topics discussed. Smaller class sizes mean there is ample opportunity for you to engage with your professor and fellow students to fully embrace the curriculum. Classes meet Monday-Thursday most weeks which will provide you the opportunity to travel on your 3-day weekends.

Community Building & Engagement
Our engagement model is the reason the GO programs are different from other study abroad programs. Our team consists of a program director, faculty members and peer leaders who will support you and create fun and unique opportunities to connect with your program group. In past summers, we have hosted a variety of optional activities such as cooking classes, catamaran rides and tours of La Sagrada Familia. Students have told us they’ve connected with new best friends and future bridesmaids during these optional activities designed to bring the program together!
