The itinerary focuses on highlights of the city including several days of hands-on community service and plenty of free time to explore on your own. You will tour the must-see attractions, hike Table Mountain and mingle with African penguins on Boulders Beach. Your typical day may start with a leadership lesson on your personal values followed by a tour of the southwestern tip of the African continent, the Cape of Good Hope. Over dinner, you will reflect on your accomplishments of the day while also recounting the connection you made with community members the day prior during our community visits. Whether you’ve never traveled outside of the country or if this is your first time on a plane, our Cape Town staff will ensure you are prepared for a transformative experience abroad.

DIRECT Florence offers you the chance to immerse yourself in the enchanting city of Florence, Italy. You will discover the charm of this historical city filled with cobblestone streets and awe-inspiring wonders of the Renaissance period. Florence feels the size of a college town but is filled with captivating art, world class restaurants and the richness of Italian culture. You’ll experience the warmth and hospitality of the locals as you contribute to a meaningful hands on service and/or an educational session from a local non-profit organization. But your journey doesn't end in the city – the beauty of the Tuscan landscape awaits you. You will venture beyond Florence's bustling streets and join us on a day trip to the tranquil countryside of rolling hills and picturesque vineyards. Embrace the slower pace of life and savor the region's exquisite culinary delights, indulging in Italian cuisine like truffle lasagna. DIRECT Florence students will have the opportunity to end their time abroad with us on an add-on adventure to the Amalfi Coast. The Amalfi Coast is a breathtaking stretch of coastline in southern Italy, renowned for its dramatic cliffs, picturesque villages, and stunning sea views. It captivates students with its beauty and charm, offering an unforgettable Mediterranean experience.

DIRECT Greece lets you experience the highlights of this bucket list Mediterranean country. You will travel to both Athens and Santorini with a community of like-minded peers and learn about yourself in the process. In Athens, you will visit the Acropolis and step into the rich history, culture and traditions of ancient Greece. You will enrich and broaden your perspective during our one day service project with a local community center. Then, you will hop on a ferry to Santorini and soak in the postcard views of this world-famous destination. Your time in Santorini is filled with quintessential blue domed churches, breathtaking sunsets and relaxing on incredible beaches. Along the way, the DIRECT Greece team will lead engaging workshops about your strengths, vision and values so you will return home with a stronger sense of who you are and where you want to go in life.
