Whether you focus on LinkedIn or an online portfolio, you will walk away with a strong self-brand to help you land that internship or job with personalize coaching from the LeadAbroad team.

Next, you’ll develop professional skills by working on three real-world consulting projects for local businesses in Cape Town. Internship projects will have a hybrid setup with virtual management from the Xperienceship team and in-person work with your clients and colleagues. Your first project will focus on brand storytelling where you will develop a blueprint for the specific company, create storytelling prototypes and design for maximum impact. Next, your small group will focus on influencer marketing. Here you will focus on connecting, creating and amplifying messages with the help of influencers. Your last project will focus on visual communication and your recommendations on the platform, branding, call to action and impact of these tools. Each week, you will pitch your proposals to the business stakeholders, answer questions and provide insights to implement your recommendations and see your ideas come to life.

Finally, PRO Cape Town includes several bucket list adventures to ensure you do not leave without exploring all Cape Town has to offer. Spend an afternoon hiking world-famous Table Mountain for epic views of the Mother City. You will also get the chance to venture to the very tip of the African continent, Cape Point, and soak in the majestic scenery of this iconic location. Flights

For PRO Cape Town, LeadAbroad will provide detailed flight recommendations from our most popular hometowns. We recommend booking one of the recommended flights so you can travel with fellow interns and make the most of your journey abroad.

Barcelona

You can also choose to book a different itinerary. We will provide a time window when you should arrive at the airport in Cape Town.  If you arrive within the designated timeframe, LeadAbroad staff will be at the airport to greet you with huge posters and even bigger smiles.

If you are traveling independently prior to the program, you can also meet us at the hotel to check in with the rest of the group!

Health & Safety

Your safety is our number one priority on all programs. With a triad staffing model including LeadAbroad residential directors, interns and PRO staff, we have one of the lowest student:staff ratios of any professional program abroad. We execute safety procedures including assessment, education, security measures, ongoing monitoring and emergency response protocol. The LeadAbroad Policies, Terms & Conditions document outlines these policies in detail.

If a student did face any kind of health challenge abroad, from a cold or stomach bug to something more serious, our team is committed to assisting them receive the appropriate care.

Prior to departure, every student will complete a detailed health questionnaire. We encourage you to visit your doctor and dentist to ensure that you are up to date on all vaccinations and have complete supply of prescriptions. We also include international medical insurance through CISI for all LeadAbroad students. It is important to note that this is different than trip protection or travel insurance. We will provide many more details on health and safety information in the student login after you are accepted.

Finally, in light of COVID-19, we are committed to going above and beyond for the health and safety of our students and staff. We are in constant communication with local experts, agencies and risk advisory consultants to best understand how we need to design our programs to optimize the students’ experience. Every country is responding to COVID-19 differently and has unique and fluid requirements for tourists. We are monitoring these closely and as we get closer to departure we will communicate to you and your student any specific requirements, new processes or safety procedures.
