Welcome!

Why Join the Team

Students want to study abroad but most never make it happen. It’s not because they don’t want to travel, but because they either don’t know where to start.

That’s where you come in!

We believe in the power of travel to transform lives. By serving as a LeadAbroad Ambassador, you’ll connect students on your campus to opportunities to travel!

How It Works

1

Organize announcements (aka pitches).

2

Deliver the pitch and collect the clipboards.

3

Get paid via Venmo every 2 weeks!

What’s In It for Me?

  • Great way to build your resume with an on campus ambassador position
  • Amazing opportunity to build your professional skills like organization, public speaking and communication
  • Ability to distinguish yourself as a leading ambassador based on results
  • And of course, get paid $50 per sorority pitch!

How to Succeed

#1. Get to know LeadAbroad.

LeadAbroad is a study abroad organization based in Atlanta focused on creating epic experiences abroad. They will help you find a perfect summer study, volunteer or intern abroad experience that matches your interests and your schedule. Summer 2020 programs range from 2-5 weeks and take place in Cape Town, Greece, Costa Rica, Paris, Rome and Barcelona!”

You can also explore “About” on our website and this quick video below! Also check out our Instagram feed to get to know our students and locations!

#2. Organize sorority announcements.

Our ambassadors make it easy to study abroad by making announcements where students already congregate. You will earn $50 when you upload the interest list from any sorority chapter announcement on your campus.

The sooner your organize these announcements, the better. Get a list of all sorority presidents’ contact info. Then send them a quick email to setup a quick chapter announcement. You can totally do multiple announcements in one night, just make sure they aren’t at the exact same time. Often it takes many emails and texts to get a president to say ‘yes.’ Don’t get discouraged – this is totally normal!  Just be persistent and try different angles until you make it happen.

The goal is to make an announcement at every sorority on your campus. Since there are teams of brand ambassadors on your campus, the first person to schedule an announcement ‘claims’ that sorority and gets to make the announcement.

Happy scheduling!

#3. Deliver the announcement.

Here’s where the magic happens!

Steps:

1. Practice the announcement (sample video below).

2. Talk for 3 minutes at chapter.

3. Pass the clipboards with sign up sheets and pens.

4. Collect the clipboards later THAT SAME EVENING!

5. Post photos of the sign up sheets in Basecamp (we will show you how to use this tool!)

Done. $50 in the bank.

Check out JoJo’s announcement here. Make it your own. Jokes encouraged – not required.
